Anything Goes for October at Crafting by Designs

Good Morning! I hope the final day of September is good to you wherever you are today. We've had better weather these last few days than over the whole of the summer holidays... but it's time to think ahead to the end of October and Halloween!!
First I would like to mention that I will be blogging every day in October as part of the 31 Days of Halloween event run by Smeared Ink. I am hoping to be sponsored in doing this as part of Cancer Research UK's contribution to this year's Stand Up to Cancer event. I have a Just Giving page which is open for donations already - any amount, nothing is too small - and anyone who donates before the 1st of November will receive a handmade card by me as soon as possible after Halloween.
Today, however, is the start of October's Anything Goes Challenge at Crafting by Designs. We would love to see your Halloween/spooky/scary or other creations in our gallery this month.

ATC Challenge at Crafting By Designs

This week at Crafting by Designs we would love to see you create an ATC for us! If you're not sure what this means - an ATC, or Artist Trading Card, is a small piece of art work measuring 2.5"x3.5". People all over the world create and swap these and I myself love to receive mini art in the post!
Our sponsor this week is Luna Girl and I've used an ephemera sheet called 'Pink Ladies'. I've cut my image slightly smaller than ATC size and layered her on some DP from my stash. I've added green liquid pearls, some lace and pins. The 3D flower is made of die cuts from Craftwork Cards.

New Releases at SLS Lines

It's been a while since I've created using any images from SLS Lines. I've been working full-time again and finally getting the chance to fit crafting back into my schedule! So, here's my contribution to this month's new release post at SLS Lines.
I have used 3 of the monsters from the Cute Monsters Set shown above and coloured them with sharpies and black ballpoint pen for the shadows. I've made my background using Black, Sea Green and Purple Brushos and some water spray to spread the colour. The sentiment is from Simply Betty Stamps and I've finished with some candi dots.

Rock with Lelli-bot Crafts Red Hot Rockabilly Kit!

Oh my word! Lelli-bot Crafts have created the most stunning and my favourite kit yet! Red Hot Rockabilly is a mix of Pin-Up and Tattoo inspired images, papers and sentiments. I bought the fullworks kit and there's fab matching ribbons and embellishments to use too. I just had to have a play!
Thankfully hubby was out last night so I had plenty time to play. I made three cards last night and can't wait for time to make more!
The cherry is just stunning! I used red vellum here for the layering and on my Spellbinder's Fleur de Lis Square die cut.
This final card is 8x8 rather than the 6x6 cards above. I've added candi and some of the Lelli-Bot Gothic Grunge embellies for this one.

I will enter my cherry card into the current challenge at Lelli-bot Crafts - Ribbons and Bows!

Christmas in September Challenge at Crafting By Designs

Good morning! It's been sunnier here this last week than the whole of 'summer' put together! Here's hoping tomorrow's a good one for my day off this week! In the meantime, we're getting ready for Christmas at Crafting by Designs and our September edition of the challenge starts today.
Sami Stamps is our fabulous sponsor and I've used the Candy Cane Elf image, coloured with promarkers and mounted on red vellum. Delving into old stash again, I've used Papermania papers for the card itself and more of the vellum. The sentiment is Craftwork Cards and the die cut corners are Memory Box.

Lelli-bot Crafts September Challenge

I love Lelli-bot Crafts and have missed playing in their challenges since starting work. I knew I had to make the effort to join in this time round and having been at a demo day on Sunday and spent some pennies, here's my creation!

Thanks to the very lovely Lorraine at Craft World in Hillington, Glasgow, I bought some Brushos and have fallen in love with them!! I have played around with them on various papers but for this card, I've used some white pearlescent paper. I tapped out some Purple, Sea Green and Black Brusho dust on the paper and sprayed with water via my Tim Holtz mini mister. I then used a straw to 'blow' the wet inky paint around the page. I did dry a bit off with paper towel.
I've used a Gothic Grunge topper and added more Brusho to that in the same way as the background. The challenge theme is 'ribbons and bows' so I used some American Seam Binding ribbon to make a bow for the top corner and added a Lelli-bot metal charm. To finish I added Washi tape and some 'Juniper' liquid pearls too.

I will enter this in the following challenges -
Lelli-bot Challenge - September

Through the Craftroom Door - Sept 8-14th
Tuesday Throwdown - #261 AG
Craft-Dee Bowz - September AG with bow
Forever Dark - Challenge #4
Corrosive Challenge - #232 Head Shots (Skull is a head...)
Dream in Darkness - Sept AG Dark

Anything Goes for September at Crafting by Designs

Good morning! Well, that was a bit of a summer break... not much summer but plenty of break! haha
Anyways, Crafting by Designs are starting the month as usual with Anything Goes. Our sponsors this week are Robyn's Fetish and Sassy Studio Designs.
I have used 'Count Dracula' from Robyn's Fetish and a sentiment from one of their sentiment sets too. I've colourd with Promarkers and used papers from Graphic 45 and BoBunny. I've finished with the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Punch.
