2 ATCs and a Fatpage

Earlier this month I signed up for a Fatpage and ATC swap on the Smeared and Smudged Facebook group and decided to use my Lelli-bot Crafts stash to create my swaps. The theme for the ATC is Steampunk and for the Fatpage - Leather and Lace. They both have ended up with a similar Steampunky look and I've used papers and stamps from the Lelli-bot Crafts Steampunk range.
For my ATC Background and panel on the front of the Fatpage, I covered some card with Silver plummers tape. I ran the card through my Cuttlebug using a Tim Holtz Alterations cogs and gears embossing folder.  I then added Ranger Alcohol inks in Meadow, Stream and Eggplant to the embossed panels. To distress it slightly I've then rubbed black ink direct from the ink pad.
For the embellishing of my ATC's I've stamped some of the Lelli-bot Steampunk stamps and coloured them using Peacock Feathers and Dusty Concord and a blending tool, then fussy cut them.
I finished the ATCs by adding brads and then using Gilding Flakes around the edges.
I have fussy cut more stamping for the front of my fatpage and added some HOTP words. The right edge has lace and teal beading. My Fatpage and one ATC are going to the same person so I attached the panel on 3 sides with 2 layers of 3D foam, this allows the ATC to slot in to the right side of the panel.
For the reverse side of the fat page, I stamped the Steampunk dress onto white card and twice onto one of the Lelli-Bot Steampunk papers. I've coloured the manequin with Peacock Feathers and Walnut Stain DI. The dress was fussy cut and layered.
I've added more lace and beading on this side too. For the panel, I've used a sheet of the Lelli-bot paper and used more of their stamps and gilding flakes for the background. When I send this to the recipient, I will add mine and the swap info to the top right corner.
I would like to enter my projects in the following challenges -
Lelli-bot Crafts - #1 AG June
Allsorts Challenge - #316 Use a Stamp
Open-Minded Crafting - #39 Vintage (Hoping Steampunk counts!)
Simply Create Too - #88 Old/Vintage (hoping Steampunk counts!)

Lelli-Bot Crafts Steampunk Card

I LOVE the new Lelli-bot Steampunk kit! I recently bought the 6x6" topper and paper kit and the stamp set. Today I made my first card with the kit. I couldn't bring myself to cut the paper for a smaller card so went with an 8x8" Scalloped card.

I've used silver holographic card and purple pearlescent paper for matting and layering. I added the topper and sentiment and when I came back to my table, the corners were in place - my daughter thought they looked good there - so I attached them with 3D foam.
Hopefully I'll get the stamps out in the next few days too!

Sketch Challenge at Crafting By Designs

Good morning! Time for a new challenge at Crafting by Designs and this week we have a sketch for you to try. We have a couple of sponsors so you could also win a prize by joining in.

I haven't used any sponsor images this week but have used the sketch on two very different cards.
This first uses papers, sentiment and die cut bow from Craftwork Cards Velvet Plum Collection. I have used the sketch as it is, adding the bow where the 'flower' is shown.
For this next card, my papers are from DCWV Eek-a-Boo stack. I have turned the sketch on it's side, added a black banner and punched a circle emellishment from the 12x12 paper stack for the 'flower' part on the sketch.
I hope you will give it a go and join us this week!

Skull Appreciation Day Bloghop 2015

Good morning Hoppers! If you are following the Blog Hop, you will have come to me from Harp's blog and you will be hopping off to Greece with Ike next. But first, here's what I've done for the hop today.
I got myself a set of very funky MDF skulls from the MDF Man at the SECC earlier this year and they have been sitting on a shelf awaiting a purpose.... I just knew that today would be that purpose. The skulls were a set of 7 and I have used 3 for today's post.
This first skull, the largest of the three, has been painted using a selection of Do Crafts Acrylic Paints and a brayer. Once the paint had dried I used some Dusty Concord Distress Ink and blending tool, applying the ink in random places through sequin waste and a Dutch Doobadoo Spiderweb stencil. I've then painted the raw edges with the black acrylic. I have stamped the edges of this skull using the Mini Grunge Flourish from Visible Image and the sentiment is from a magazine freebie by Sheena Douglas.
This next skull is slightly smaller. I used the paint that was on the brayer from the first skull to coat this one - it's ended up a dark maroony reddy colour! After this dried, I added white and black acrylic paint using bottle tops and the edge of a scrap peice of card. The raw edges were painted black. The edges were then stamped with the dotty side of the Visible Image Mini Grunge Flourish.
This skull is smaller again and I'm not happy with the outcome but will share it anyway and likely you will see it in a better project sometime later! I painted this white and sprayed some Crushed Grape Dylusions through the Dutch Doobadoo web stencil from earlier. I then decided I would try to make my own sugar skull!! I hand drew on a pattern with pencil and set about painting it with the Do Crafts Acrylics. I think it's the thick black lines around some parts I don't like.
Well, here they are altogether and I think the larger two will go on the wall. Once I change up the smaller one and the rest of the set I'll share the whole lot!
I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop!
Have a great day!

Challenge #1 at Lelli-Bot Crafts Challenge Blog

Well, I am so excited, I got my brand new Lelli-bot Crafts Steampunk Stamps and matching mini-kit and have been admiring and so busy stroking the gorgeous papers that I haven't played with them yet!
However, the very lovely Lisa Tyrell on their DT, has just posted on the Facebook Group and I thought I'd make her day by being the first entry on the challenge! I made this yesterday and was going to wait a few days, but here goes!
This is a card made using the Gothic Grunge 8x8 paper and topper kit. I have made an easel card and hand cut the circular embellishments. The tickets were die cut using DieNamics Ticket Strip die from one of the papers. I've coloured the whole thing with Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean Distress inks. To finish, there are birds from the Gothic Lace Stamp Kit in each corner of the inside.

I will enter this in the following challenges -

The background on my card was made by adding white Ranger Pigment Ink through sequin waste with a sponge onto the card blank. I've used the same sequin waste and the Distress inks to give some texture to the face and finished using the dotty side of the Visible Image mini Grunge Flourish around the edge of the image.
